The three traditional spiritual practices for Lent are prayer, charity and fasting. Try two a day! Pray daily and then you only have one to work on. Think about fasting as an opportunity to remove something from your life for awhile. I know young people who have a social media fast, or a 'phone-fast' once a week for half a day. Think about removing negative thoughts and replacing them with gratitude. Enjoin the spiritual practice of fasting once week or more and see if you your focus changes and your faith strengthens.
